Bad breath is always inconvenient, there is no good time to have bad breath. Unfortunately, it happens to the best of us and can creep up at any moment. The following foods are known to mask bad breath with their antioxidants or to rehydrate the mouth and stop dry mouth, another major culprit of bad breath.

Parsley: Like most herbs and spices, the oils in parsley help mask bad breath. Parsley is a great herb that goes with almost anything, sprinkle it on salads, vegetables, meats or pasta. 

Green Tea: Green Tea is full of rich antioxidants that fight off bad breath causing bacteria. 

Yogurt: Yogurt is full of great probiotics promote good bacteria. Good bacteria are fantastic for your teeth, preventing cavities, and decreasing your chances of bad breath. 

Apples & Pears: Both apples and pears help with the natural saliva production in your mouth which can essentially give your teeth a mini-bath to rid your mouth of bad breath. 

Fruits Rich in Vitamin C: Fruits like oranges, melons, and berries are rich in vitamin C which help combat gingivitis and gum disease, two more culprits of bad breath. 

Crunchy, Textured Veggies: Cucumbers, carrots, and celery are similar to apples and pears, they naturally increase your mouth’s saliva production and help keep bad breath at bay. 

Nuts: Crunchy nuts like almonds, cashews, and walnuts give your teeth and mouth a mini-scrubbing and can get rid of odor-causing bacteria.
